Arthur Chandler

Arthur Chandler has joined Pinsly Railroad Company on May 19th, 2025, as our new VP of Engineering. He has 20 years of railroad industry experience, having spent half of his career with Class I railroad CSX and the other half with Shortline and Regional Railroad holding company Genesee & Wyoming. He began his railroad career in 2005 as a Management Trainee in Engineering at CSX, where he held roles of increasing responsibility in various locations. His final position with CSX was Assistant Division Engineer in Buffalo, New York.
In 2014, Chandler joined Genesee & Wyoming, where he served in multiple leadership roles, including Director of Engineering Testing and Compliance, Chief Engineer of Advanced Engineering, and most recently, Chief Engineer of Production. At G&W, he led teams responsible for internal rail flaw testing, track geometry testing, and large-scale capital projects such as tie replacement and track surfacing. He also played a key role in developing departmental rules and policies, creating associated training programs, and advancing safety initiatives.
Chandler holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Delaware and a Master of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University. He is an active member of industry organizations including the ASLRRA, AAR, and AREMA, and contributes to multiple committees.
