Kristin Bevil
Kristin is an experienced rail professional who has spent her career advising rail clients in all aspects of the business. She began her rail career in Chicago with Fletcher & Sippel, LLC, advising Class I, regional and short line rail clients.
In 2014, Bevil joined The Indiana Rail Road Company as its first General Counsel, advising on legal matters involving litigation, governance, regulatory compliance, labor relations, and commercial transactions. In 2019, Bevil joined the executive team of Pioneer Lines as General Counsel managing fifteen short line railroads from time of acquisition through divestiture in 2022.
Bevil currently serves as the Vice President, Central Region, of the Association of Short Line and Regional Railroads (ASLRRA) Board of Directors and a member of the Executive Committee of the ASLRRA. Throughout her career Bevil has also been involved with Operation Lifesaver, a non-profit dedicated to rail safety, as Vice Chair of the Indiana Operation Lifesaver and as an Operation Lifesaver Authorized Volunteer.
She received a Bachelor degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri and her Law Degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law.
