Miles D. Lee

Executive Vice President, HRR & PLS

Miles Lee serves as Executive Vice President of Hondo Railway and Pinsly Logistics Services, a subsidiary of Pinsly Railroad Company. He joined Pinsly in November 2024 following its acquisition of the Hondo Railway Complex — which includes Hondo Railway, Hondo Bulk Commodities, South Texas Liquid Terminal, South Texas Ethanol Terminal, and Rail Transloading Resources One. A key figure in the company’s success, Miles has been deeply involved in its operations and growth since 1996.

Before becoming part of the Pinsly team, Miles played a pivotal role in relocating the transloading operation from San Antonio to Hondo in 2006 — a move that laid the foundation for what is now Hondo Railway. Formerly operating under the name South Texas Liquid, the company began interchanging with both BNSF and Union Pacific under his leadership. That same leadership was recognized in 2011, when BNSF named Hondo Railway its Short Line Railroad of the Year.

Miles was instrumental in expanding the railway’s services, overseeing the handling of key commodities such as high fructose corn syrup, grain, ethanol, plastic pellets, and flour. To complement rail operations, he founded Hondo Bulk Commodities, a trucking company established in 2006 to support product distribution from the facility.

Today, Miles is responsible for the day-to-day management of Hondo Railway and Pinsly Logistics Services. He holds both an engineer’s license and a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL), giving him firsthand knowledge of every aspect of the rail and trucking industries. He also leads strategic initiatives to support continued growth and works closely with the Pinsly leadership team to identify new opportunities across the company.

Miles earned his Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, in 1996. He and his wife, Brooke, reside in Texas and have two children, Chase and Reagan.
